JOUEL enters into a two year partnership with the Seychelles Sports Fishing Club to sponsor hand-crafted gold trophy pendants to the winning teams of SSFC tournaments. The first tournament under the JOUEL-SSFC partnership was the 10th anniversary of the La Digue offshore tournament held in October 2014. The pendants yet to be won are on display at JOUEL Kenwyn House.

The Jewellery Collections

Now that the brand JOUEL has been fully established, our focus shifts to refining our jewellery collections. Over the years our own in-house designers- inspired by the Seychelles Islands- have created these unique collections. The Tanzanite Collection inspired by the deep blue ocean, the Mystique Collection of black & white diamonds inspired by the night sky and the Tropical Collection inspired by the Seychelles fauna & flora are just to name a few. In total JOUEL has six core jewellery collections available at each of the JOUEL outlets.

Autism Advocacy Project – Objective achieved

In collaboration with the Seychelles Children’s Foundation, JOUEL co-launched the Autism Advocacy Project in 2012 to advocate awareness about Autism in Seychelles. The primary aim of this project was to sensitize the Seychelles community about those individuals with Autism, particularly children. Following the supply of, amongst other things, diagnosis kits and observation training material and, most importantly the visit of a renowned Professor from the United States, Dr. Kelley Yost, JOUEL has ‘accomplished its mission’. The Project has now been handed over to the reliable Parent’s Association, formally known as PEARL Seychelles.

Flawless is proud to announce that they have also just launched new outlets in two stunning locations: at the Constance Ephelia Resort and Spa on Mahe and at the just opened Vallee de Mai visitor centre on Praslin. The boutique at the Ephelia Resort offers a specially selected and exclusive range of both diamond and Tanzanite jewellery, most suiting to the sophisticated tastes of the hotel’s elite guests. Meanwhile, you can now view the jewels of the Vallee de Mai and then purchase a unique piece from their boutique there, which is a joint venture together with the Seychelles Island Foundation and Kreolor Limited, another excellent local jeweler. They in turn present you with a fine collection of silver, pearl and coco-de-mer pieces that make the perfect memento of your magical visit in the Garden of Eden!

JOUEL’s holding company, Caratco Ltd, opened for trade in neighboring Mauritius in Aug 2009 under the name of Tresor Diamonds Ltd. Based at the famous national monument ‘La Citadelle’, Tresor Diamonds is a delightful contradiction- diamond jewellery shimmers on plush velvet against the stark backdrop of La Citadelle’s stone walls.

The store is dressed in antiques that are hand-picked and shipped across the oceans. Inside, historic paintings and lush palm fronds welcome discerning shoppers. Tresor is imbued with the history of Mauritius, and her capital, Port Louis.

The Chief Executive Officer of CaratCo, Mr. Tim Watson, has recently been accredited as a member of the WFDB (World Federation of Diamond Bourses). This mark represents the bench-mark for integrity, accountability and tradition, thereby enhancing consumer confidence and transparency within our trade.
